One of the most anticipated film projects of 2022 it is without a doubt Avatar: The Way of Water, film that was planned for more than 10 years ago by james cameron. And now, that little by little we are approaching the premiere, the director has made statements regarding two specific issues, this includes something related to its duration.
It was confirmed that the tape will last no more and no less than three hours, something that could be a problem for people who are not so used to sitting in a movie theater for so long. And the director has already warned viewers who could comment on the subject, assuring that there are longer products.
I don’t want to hear anyone complaining about the length of the film, when they usually spend eight hours watching continuous episodes of any series.
I can already imagine the critics saying that it is agony to watch such a long film. I have seen my children sit watching five episodes of some series, one hour each. You just have to get used to the idea of seeing people getting up from the room to go to the bathroom and coming back right away.
In turn, he also spoke of the people who will surely criticize the plot:
The trolls will say that nobody gives a shit and they can’t remember the names of the characters or a damn thing that happened on tape. Then they go back to the movie and say, ‘Oh, okay, excuse me, I’m shutting up right now.’ So I’m not worried about that.
Cameron has been working quite a bit on Avatar: The Way of Water, so it’s somewhat understandable that he wants to protect the project, one that has taken decades to come to fruition. But that is not all, since in 2024 The next part of this saga will come, which is worth commenting on, it is far from ending with just a trio of films.
The film will see its premiere on December 15 in theaters.
