The Winter Break They are already expected by many basic education students. But this year, Santa brings them a gift that will make them very happy: an extra week of vacation, since the SEP has made official the back to school for the next one January 9, 2023.
In accordance with the provisions of the Official School Calendar of the SEP and, unlike other school cycles, this year an additional week will be given. This means that winter holidays will start next Saturday December 17since the last day of classes will be Friday, December 16, 2022. The return to school will be on Monday, January 9, 2023.
This delay in the return to school is due to the fact that in the week of January 2 to 6, 2023, teachers will attend intensive workshops for continuous training for teachers. In previous years, these workshops had not been held, so preschool, primary and secondary children only had 2 weeks of winter vacation.
