It looks like something out of a science fiction movie: a fascinating family house shaped like a steel and concrete bridge with a hanging terrace

I don’t think most of us will ever build one like this, but letting your imagination fly is free and seeing it, both inside and out, is a delight.

It’s spectacular family villa, located in Central Bohemia in the Czech Republic, has been designed by landscape architect Vladimír Sitta. The house, known as Villa Sidonius and which almost seems straight out of a science fiction movieresembles a bridge or walkway that rests in a rotated position on the steep northern slope.


The house can be accessed through an underground tunnel through the garagewhich, like the guest house, is located at the foot of the property.

The spacious interior is connected to the garden through a hanging terrace facing south.

The elevated position of the housing provides a lot of sunlight to this unique, beautifully glazed single-storey block and the house also enjoys a wonderful view of the Berounka Valley. Don’t you think it’s amazing?
