Bolsonaro hosted Musk at a meeting in the Brazilian state of Sao Paulo earlier this year, when he called the US billionaire’s inauguration on Twitter a “breath of hope” and called him a “legend of freedom.”
Both Lula and Bolsonaro used Twitter extensively during their campaigns. Some Bolsonaro allies – including the most voted candidate for the lower house of Congress, Nikolas Ferreira – had their accounts suspended by court order after the second round for questioning the election results.
