In the health field, it is usually affirmed that the patient is always a priority and although it is true, those in charge of providing the service cannot be ignored. Doctors and staff from other areas are also important although they are often ignored. To help end that, the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) presented a new program to create decent units and eliminate visual pollution.
What does it consist of?
The director of the institution, Luis Antonio Ramírez Pineda, pointed out that not only is invested in the purchase of equipment and medical supplies but also in the training and participation of the personnel. But now it seeks to create friendly work environments through the program “Without visual pollution, we look better.” The main objective is to renew the image of all its clinics and hospitals.
In that sense, he accused that for more than 20 years the ISSSTE remained abandoned. The consequence was a deterioration in the quality of the service and that not only harmed the patients but also the doctors. That is why now it is seeking to reverse the problem.
During the supervision of the “Revolución” Family Medicine Clinic (CMF) in Mexico City and accompanied by the Regulatory Director of Administration and Finance, Jens Pedro Lohmann Iturburu; the president of the CEN of SNTISSSTE, Luis Miguel Victoria Ranfla, and the deputy director of Attention to the Rightholder, Vanessa Prieto Barrientos, Ramírez Pineda highlighted that the campaign “Without visual pollution, we see ourselves better” allows to generate a more pleasant, clean environment and above all , worthy spaces to give a better service.
Goodbye to paper waste
In the first instance, the excesses of posters, notices and wall newspapers will be removed. It pointed out that they prevented the information to the rightful owner from being transmitted properly. Therefore, the visual contamination of all units will now be eliminated.
For his part, Lohmann Iturburu explained that in coordination with the Health Regulatory Directorate, concrete actions have been defined to correct the claims that the right to right makes.
He recalled that by the end of the year they will finish equipping and rehabilitating the medical units that entered the improvement and reinforcement program.
During her participation, the Deputy Director of Customer Service, Vanessa Prieto, assured that the campaign “Without visual contamination, we see ourselves better” arose as a result of the supervisions carried out in the medical units, in order to detect areas of opportunity for strengthen service.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), visual pollution can affect our health considerably, since 40 percent of those who inhabit an office with unpleasant things or saturated with information tend to suffer from depression.
We have detected, he said, that in the medical units where this campaign has been implemented, there is a more pleasant and clean environment. In addition, in coordination with the Social Communication Unit, a Graphic Identity Manual was designed for Family Medicine Clinics that will serve as a basis so that they can standardize their areas of care and have a better achievement of objectives.
Prieto Barrientos pointed out that another important objective is for the program that began on Monday, September 13, to be permanent, for which reason responsible persons will be designated in each unit for its fulfillment.
