The general director of the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), Pedro Zenteno Santaella, pointed out that he will end the “huachicoleo” of medical licenses. This is an improper practice carried out by some people who are not committed to the new work culture and service vocation of the Institute.
At the end of the courses “Medical Licenses and Ruling on Occupational Hazards and Disability”, He added that this strategy is part of the action and collaboration plan between the ISSSTE directorates.
Patients misuse medical disability leaves
The objective is to regulate the expedition in excess in the granting disabilities. It also seeks to streamline the processes in those workers who are going through a process of ruling in the areas of occupational medicine.
He pointed out that in 11 training sessions that were carried out in person and via the web, 2,000 health and administrative workers from medical sub-delegations and benefits from all over the country participated, attached to 1,35 units. In short, they represent 93 percent of all ISSSTE human resources in the competent areas. All of them will now correctly attend to the granting of medical licenses and will improve the ruling processes.
Training for medical and administrative staff
In the auditorium of the University of the Atemajac Valley (UNIVA), Guadalajara campus, where the last training session was held and before the staff of the ISSSTE representations of Colima, Jalisco, Nayarit and Zacatecas, Pedro Zenteno added that moral, spiritual and cultural values must be strengthened from the nuclei relatives. He said that they have been lost, which contributes to not having respect as human beings and that is reflected in their actions in the workplace.
The trainings were derived from the instruction of the general director, so that they were coordinated by the Technical Secretariat of the Surveillance Commission, the Medical and Economic, Social and Cultural Benefits directorates. In this way, the action plan arose to reduce the problem of misuse of medical licenses and the deficiency in the resolution of the ruling processes, and the lack of adherence to the applicable regulations for said issues.
A deficient ruling process causes a excess medical licenses, but also, the excessive granting of these without having started their process. In the end, this causes that today there are a good number of worker rights affiliated with the institute with excess days of disability.
