That the iPhone 14 are just around the corner is no secret. But the truth is that this will be a year of changes in the way that Apple will put its star phone on sale. If we listen to the rumours, this year’s iPhone lineup will be a little differentand the difference between Pro and non-Pro models will be bigger.
Everything seems to indicate that this year we will have two iPhone 14 (normal and Max) and two Pro (normal and Max) whose main difference will be in the size of the screen. But it will not be the only thing that changes between both models. If historically the big differences between the Pro and normal models have been mainly limited to the camera, the screen and the construction, this year it seems that there is going to be a more significant one.
According to Ming Chi Kuothe iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will not mount the same Chip. It will be the first time that Apple has followed this path since the arrival of the company’s A processors. In this sense, everything seems to indicate that the iPhone 14 Pro will be the only one that mounts the company’s newest and most powerful chips. If nothing changes, the A16 Bionic will be limited to the Pro model. And it will be forever, also for the iPhones of the future.
More and more differences between the iPhone 14 and the iPhone 14 Pro
And what about the non-Pro iPhone 14? Well, they would keep the A15 Bionic chips from the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro, it seems enough to guarantee a few years of moving forward with respect to the competition. And it is that with this movement Apple will increasingly separate the normal range and the Pro, which will receive the most new speciations and therefore benefits. Its price, logically, will also increase accordingly.
It seems that this time around, the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro will have significant differences not only in the camera, but also in the screen (the Pro model is expected to be the always-on type), construction, chip and general functionality. However, although some analysts believe that Apple will use a more powerful version of the A15 chip with 6 GB of RAM instead of 4 GB in the new phones, but the architecture will be the same as that found in the iPhone 13 chips.
In this regard, it must be clear that all this is nothing more than rumours, and that until Apple presents the iPhone 14 in September, we will not be able to get out of doubt. What is clear is that, as with its computers, Apple is increasing the gap between the consumer and Pro range, and it was logical that this leap would also reach the iPhone in a significant way.
