It is becoming easier to play on mobile devices using console controls, and users of iOS devices soon they will be able to link their Nintendo Switch controls, as the beta version of iOS 16 has support for connecting Joy-Con and Switch Pro Controllersas reported by some users who are already testing it.
This Monday, Apple announced its latest update for iOS devices during the Worldwide Developers Conference, and the Beta version was available right after. Thanks to this, some developers are already testing new features, such as support for connecting Nintendo Switch controls natively.

One of the users who shared the finding is the developer Riley Testut, who confirmed that iOS 16 not only has support for the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, but also for the Joy-Con individually or in pairs. Testut also confirmed that the controls work perfectly with DELTA, an iOS emulator.
“Apple seriously rocked this implementation, this is amazing,” the developer said after further testing support for Nintendo Switch controllers in the new iOS. Riles also mentioned that it’s possible to switch from using a single joy-con to a pair as a single controller easily, as you only need to press the screenshot and home button for a few seconds. “iPhone is officially a switch,” says the developer.
Without a doubt, this function will be very well received by those who are used to playing on iOS devices and have a Nintendo Switch at hand, because thanks to the size of its controls you can take a pair of Joy-Cons everywhere without much problem, which would allow you to play properly even on mobile devices.
