On January 16, the Spanish series EXPRESS will premiere on StarzPlay, and in cinemascomics we have been able to talk with the team about it
According to its creators Ivan escobar (“Vis a Vis”) and Antonio Sánchez Olivas (“Aida”). Iván Escobar is also showrunner of the series and author of the script along with Antonio Sánchez Olivas and Martin Suarez (“Rage”). EXPRESS it is the reflection of the society in which we live, where life runs at full speed and immediacy is the axis of our lives. A world in which everything moves so fast that there is no place to react to extreme situations. You can see the interview below:
Created by Iván Escobar, who also works as showrunner and scriptwriter with Antonio Sánchez Olivas and Martín Suárez, Express tells the story of a criminal psychologist, Barbara (Maggie Civantos), and her family, after being the victim of one of the newest forms of criminal violence that is spreading massively … express kidnappings. Set in a world in which everything moves so quickly that people’s ability to understand and react has been altered in a way that is not yet known how it will affect us, a group of people know that discomfort can turn into fear and being exploited for profit. Now that she works as a negotiator in cases similar to hers, Barbara is on a mission to understand why this happened to her and to discover the people who threatened her life and that of her family.
The eight-hour, eight-episode series also stars Goya Award nominee Kiti Mánver (“The Inconvenient,” “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown”), Vicente Romero (“Malaka,” “Cell 211 ») Loreto Mauleón (« Homeland »), Esteban Meloni (« The Internationals »,« Stolen Lives »), Alba Planas (« SKAM »), Ana Marzoa (« Vis a vis »,« Pulsations »), Omar Banana (« Veneno “,” Amor superdotado “), Bernardo Flores (” La Doña “) and the young actresses Carmen Daza and Manuela Rojas.
