Intel is taking advantage of one of its CES 2021 conferences to present its next creation for desktop computers. Its name is Intel Core i9-11900K and it is the model that will lead the 11th generation of Rocket Lake-S chips.
Intel dared to reveal many of the specifications of its new beast. It has a total of eight cores, 16 threads and a maximum speed of 5.3GHz in turbo boost.
It will also have support for DDR4 RAM at 3200MHz, PCIe 4.0 and compatibility with the 400 series chipset. This generation will use the new 500 series chipset, with support for USB 3.2 Gen 2.
Unfortunately, this chip continues to use a 14-nanometer manufacturing process. Specifically, it takes advantage of the Cypress Cove cores, although it already integrates Intel Xe graphics, which is supposed to be the most important leap around those that refer to integrated graphics.
According to Intel, it will be arriving along with other processors in the same line at some point in 2021.
