After Facebook introduced cross-messaging between Messenger and Instagram last year, this functionality now improves with the new ability to share group chats between the two applications.
So with the new function, it will be possible to start group chats in which Messenger and Instagram contacts are included. In addition, it will be possible to carry out surveys – such as those that have been available for a long time in Messenger – both in direct messages from Instagram and in group chats of cross applications.
Secondly, The posts feature on Instagram also gets a new exclusive feature, called “View Together”, with which it is possible to enjoy different content simultaneously with other users who are in your contact list.
To use this feature, you just have to start a video chat on Instagram, then go to the publication you want to see with someone else, click on the button “Share” and then select the option “See together”. Instagram has added new content from Steve Aoki, Travis Barker, and Cardi B so you can enjoy it with your friends.

Other new additions include the group writing tools, which are available in cross-app group chats, as well as independently on Messenger and Instagram DMs.
Facebook also added new chat themes for Messenger and Instagram DM, including one very much in the style of “Cottagecore”, as well as a theme inspired by the Colombian singer J Balvin. There is also a new Astrology art suite, which includes a group chat theme inspired by the stars and their influence, as well as an AR effect and a sticker pack.
All these new functions are implemented as of today for Messenger and Instagram.
