The public health sector reports a deficit of general practitioners and specialists, who were not interested in attending the call to fill the 13,765 vacanciesthis because of corruption, poor payments, insecurity and social pressure, this was expressed by Dr. Lorenzo Soberanes, a member of the Ciudad Juárez College of Physicians.
Soberanes said that there is a real need for medical specialists to cover the public sector, as is the case with the IMSS, ISSTE and INSAVI.
“According to the experience that we have developed over many years, which I have had to participate from the College of Physicians and as president, we realize that doctors know that entering the public health sector is a deception; The doctors who work and live here in Juárez are not interested in filling these positions because they know they are going to face a bad situation,” said the doctor.
According to the Heraldo de Juárez, he explained that there is a very serious problem with the relationship between social and union securitybecause he manages three payrolls, if a doctor goes on vacation, they have to cover with another, he becomes disabled and a third doctor has to come in and the IMSS pays three payrolls for benefits, this is what has plunged into poverty the health institution.
“It is very difficult to talk about this issue, because the IMSS does not like to exhibit all this series of acts of corruption that comes from within and that affects workers because there are no medicines, there are no supplies, there is no technology for diagnoses. and for this reason the squares are covered”, Lorenzo Soberanes attacked.
Lorenzo Soberane director of the College of Physicians in Ciudad Juárez, He clarified that there are specialist doctors and there are jobs, but they do not want to participate in the calls because the institutions do not take care of their integrity.

Not only organized crime checkpoints, charges for floor rightsbut there are also extortions of doctors who attend hospitals in the northern area of Jalisco.
“At the moment we do not have any incidents inside (in the health centers) yes there have been extortions, calls to the doctors to extort them, we are reinforcing the whole issue together with the Ministry of Public Security,” he admitted.
For this reason, he said that surveillance is being reinforced in health centers in order to have a “very precise pulse of security.”
“We have informed the Ministry of Public Security and we have also asked Sedena and the National Guard to help us, especially in places where we have reports that health personnel feel compromised.”
Last Sunday the Cardinal of Guadalajara, Francisco Robles Ortega, denounced the presence of organized crime checkpoints in the North Zone of Jalisco and pointed out that in some municipalities they charge the floor fee to the churches to be able to carry out the patron saint festivities.
