IMSS elevator collapses again;  trapped doctors and patients

According to El Cambio, this Monday the only functional elevator that exists in the IMSS La Margarita collapsed againjust last Friday the same fell and left two people injured, in this case there were no injuries but four people were trapped.

What did the IMSS say?

However, medical and security personnel interviewed at the scene assured that the device fell and there were even three injured people.

On the scene CAMBIO collected testimonies from medical personnel who revealed that the injured were sent to the orthopedic sanatorium of the IMSS itself.

Although there were no injuries seriousness, the testimonies refer that the accident occurred and they wanted to hide it.

In fact, beneficiaries of the IMSS informed CAMBIO that they observed the movement and at all times they tried to cover up the event.

Physical investment spending on health continues to decline

The latest data from the Secretariat of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP) showed that, in the first two months of the year, the government allocated 292 million pesos to physical budgetary investment in health, which meant a decrease of 4.3% with respect to the resources that were exercised in the same period of the previous year.

Health represents 0.31% of the resources that are allocated to spending on physical investment in total. In the first two months of the year, these resources totaled 94,009 million pesos, which represented a growth of 9.6% compared to last year.
