New and important details of Warzone 2 have been leaked, which allow fans to get an idea of the differences between the first game and its sequel. Earlier this year, Activision confirmed that it would release Call of Duty: Warzone 2 during the lifecycle of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II, which is scheduled for release later this year. Activision has chosen to port the game to a new engine due to the original version’s problems, allowing a sequel to expand on the original game’s ideas.
According to a video from NerosCinema that revealed the new details of Warzone 2, and which has been confirmed by Tom Henderson, the game will be similar to Blackout from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the franchise’s first battle royale. The mode was a much more arcadey version of what Warzone ultimately was. NerosCinema claimed that the new version will feature an AI that will be in “strengths”. Players will have to unlock these strongholds through different objectives to get their loadouts.

Important Warzone 2 details leaked
Among the new details of Warzone 2 is that the title will continue to have ground loot with default accessories, something that already existed in Warzone, but not in Blackout. Players will also be able to carry a bag that will allow them to carry more items and possibly better manage their loot. Currently, all Call of Duty: Warzone players can carry the same amount of gearbut a backpack could allow players to keep more tactical items and other assets.
Skins you have in Warzone would not carry over to Warzone 2
Of course, all of this could change or be completely wrong, so take it with a grain of salt. If it turns out to be true, it will be interesting to see how Call of Duty fans react to the news, as Call of Duty: Warzone was much more loved than Blackout.
