Spider-Man: No Way Home finally handed us the rumored Spider-verse live-action that all of us were waiting for. However, the film was also going to have the presence of other “important” characters from the MCU, although ultimately the decision was made to remove them due to the problems they could bring in terms of the rhythm of the narrative.
During a recent interview with The Wrap, Chris McKenna, one of the writers of No Way Home revealed the following:
“I don’t think we can say it, to be honest, but they were important characters. Maybe too important, because it always became a problem to balance the story with all these incredible villains, like the classics, but we also wanted to tell a Tom Holland / Peter Parker story in a way that did not obscure the presence of this hero. “
McKenna He did not want to tell us who these characters were, and we will most likely never know. After all, now that the multiverse has finally been opened within the MCU, Any thing is possible. In particular, fans will want to know how Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will take advantage of this concept in its entirety, and it seems we already have our first clues.
Editor’s note: I think it was a decision to put aside all these possible characters. The movie itself was already loaded with heroes and villains, I think it would have been a mistake to add even more to the mix. The result was perfect and I was very satisfied with the final product.
