Will 2022 be the first year without any Zelda?
The Legend of Zelda is, par excellence, the great nintendo sagathis being the one that really generates expectation among the gaming community far above Mario and even Pokémon, since the launch of a new title is an event in itself.
Under this premise, it must be said that the saga has been characterized by have a new game every year, whether in the form of a new installment, of the Hyrule Warriors, of remake, HD remasters, among others. However, the truth is that just a few weeks ago we could see that The sequel to The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild was delayedleading with this to many seeing the opportunity to see the ports of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD. And despite the fact that everything points to it, it seems that initially we will have to wait.
Zelda would miss 2022 on Nintendo Switch
Recently the CEO of Tantalus, the development team behind Twilight Princess HD for Wii U and Skyward Sword HD on Nintendo Switch, has spoken about these supposed ports, mentioning that they would be happy to bring both remasters to the hybrid console. However, he has pointed out that these games are not a priority for nintendo.
In this way, he explains that to bring the games to Wii U and Nintendo Switch in the past, received an email from Nintendo asking if they would be interested in making these remasters, which is how the creative process began in both cases. In this way, many could wait for Tantalus would receive the same mail againbut the truth is that this has not happened, which could imply that either the games are not in development or Tantalus would not be taking care of these.
Be that as it may, we will have to see what the final result of this soap opera is, which has been unresolved for years. Given this, it must be said that The Wind Waker and The Twilight Princess are among the few Wii U games not to make the jump to Nintendo Switch alongside Xenoblade Chronicles X and Star Fox Zero.
