- Denis Dresser’s followers react to the political scientist’s announcement to add the social networks Tik Tok and Instagram to her marketing strategy.
- People’s reactions are very varied.
- Some congratulate her and others say that she is only looking for other networks because “Twitter just doesn’t work for her anymore”.
“Today I open my tik tok account to connect with new audiences and share different sides of myself. An irreverent, disobedient, free, and unexpected Denise. Come with me.”
With that message on Twitter, her main channel of communication until now, Denise Dresser announced her landing on Tik Tok on the night of this Wednesday, June 15.
The novelty was published in the midst of the various complaints that the controversial political scientist usually triggers and, as could be expected, it generated all kinds of reactions among its defenders and detractors.
Dresser’s arrival in the world of short videos was a matter of time.
Tik Tok’s growth in the social media ecosystem is accelerating and can’t be avoided by anyone looking to expand their audiences.
With the arrival message to the social network of Chinese origin, Dresse shared a link on Twitter that leads to a video on Tik Tok where an interview was published where Dresser comments on her text “Survivors”, which was published in her book “Screams and whispers”, from the year 2003.
In the first short video on Tik Tok, Dresser describes herself as follows: “Bullet woman, yes, one of those who points directly, but not with a real gun, but with words. I become a bullet, an arrow, a locomotive. I am a dart with destiny and haste. I’m never going to stop.”

Dresser comes to Instagram and Tik Tok
Dresser’s objective to land on Tik Tok is related, according to the writer herself, to having access to new audiences and to be able to make known other different aspects of his personality and his life.
For now, it is not clear if he will use Tik Tok to bring his harsh criticism of the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador to other (younger) audiences. Or if the intention is to express yourself on other topics.
While on Tik Tok the reactions are generally positive, the message on Twitter where he announced his arrival on the video network contains many negative responses.
One of the responses with the most reactions to Dreser’s Twitter post is that of columnist Álex Kaffie, who noted: “Thanks but no”.
PanchParra responded with a meme: “If you don’t have anything to put, don’t put anything, go to sleep for a while.”
Rogelio Gómez told Dresser: “Irreverent? Irreverent is perrear, perhaps you show yourself traveling on the subway, eating a chubby or buying a coke in a bag.
Belatrix Pelatrix told him: “Green… we’ve already lost her, she’s already at the level of her comadre Lilly Téllez! In the absence of bread…”
Others say that Dresser’s arrival on Tik Tok and Instagram is for fashion or because “Twitter just doesn’t work for him anymore.” “Hopefully and monetize”, they tell him.
At the same time, the writer announced that she also opened her instagram account and invited everyone to follow her.
On Tik Tok, he said he will use the network “to share humanity, creativity, passion for art, unusual journeys, and life as a great adventure.”
