Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba has managed to amaze a large number of fans around the world, thanks to its amazing characters, such as Inosuke Hashibira, who is one of the biggest enigmas in anime due to his behavior and his origin as a demon hunter.
Something that seems quite curious to us is that little is known about the life of this character, apart from the small clues that the anime has dropped along the way. He is a character that is hard to miss; mispronouncing everyone’s names, gobbling up their food without caring about dinner etiquette, and his aggressive nature are characteristic traits of Inosuke.
Inosuke’s signature staple is the boar’s head that he wears on top of his own. In a series filled with eccentric characters, Inosuke’s unique appearance really stands out.
Inosuke was born into an abusive home, more specifically, an abusive father. When he was a baby, her mother Kotoha was mistreated by her husband and mother-in-law, so she decided to run away with Inosuke and ended up being taken in by Doma’s cult, Paradise Faith. Unbeknownst to them, Doma was a member of the Twelve Kizuki, meaning Upper Rank Two.
Kotoha learned that Doma was eating her followers and fled once more with baby Inosuke, with Doma in pursuit. On top of a mountain with nowhere else to run, Kotoha dropped Inosuke into the river and was consumed by Doma. Inosuke was then discovered and raised by a boar.
His introduction to the life of a demon hunter began when he encountered one on his mountain just before the Final Selection. Inosuke proposed a contest with the demon slayer, declaring that if he was victorious, he would take the sword from him. He won the competition, learned about demons, and decided to enter the Final Selection. Afterwards, he survived and became a new member of the Demon Slayer Corps.
