One of the things that has been most influenced by video games is the way we see our physical world. which has now become a big board with millions of players fulfilling different missions that they determine themselves.
Well, not everyone plays and lives by this logic, but millions of people, all over the world, constantly think about it.the missions they have to accomplish.
This type of thinking is a direct legacy of video games, where it is very common to see ua series of missions to fulfill the final objective. Thus, in the physical world, doing a housework, buying something, writing some text, or
any other task, is part of the list of missions of an infinity of people.
If you are one of those people who makes to-do lists, there is technology that can help you manage them as well as possible. I use Todoist.
Todoist is a task list manager, in it you can schedule tasks with a specific date, recurring tasks or a pending list. Tasks are automatically sorted within the projects and features you set.
There are many management systems that you can use to organize your tasks. On the app page you will find different methods such as technique pomodoroplus other productivity tips.
I would like to share with you what I do, maybe it can help you inspiration to create your own system.
I start by making a list with all my tasks, or missions to accomplishas they come to my mind.
Once I have the complete list, I divide it in two. On the one hand, she leaves the tasks that I can complete from home, on the computer and on the phone. In the second group I put all the missions that I have to do abroad.
The first group, the things I can do at home, I divide into 3 groups. In the first subgroup I put all the tasks that I can do in 30 minutes or less. In the second subgroup, the tasks that I can do in a few hours. And in the third subgroup the tasks that take more than a day.
I order each group of tasks in order of priorityso that tasks are arranged from most to least urgent.
For the things I have to do away from home, I set a date and timewhere I will go out to do those missions.
Once I have my mission list in perfect order, I complete task by task. I only focus on the first mission I have and I don’t move on to the next one without finishing it.
If a task becomes complicated, or it is necessary to wait for something to happen to solve it, simply I move it to the bottom of the list and continue with the rest of my missions. In case new tasks arise I add them to the corresponding group.
Every so often, two or three weeks, I do an analysis of the projects that I have open and I repeat the process to define the new missions that I will fulfill.
There are many applications and systems that can help you. The most important thing is that you find the one that makes you feel comfortable and help you meet your goals.
