How to watch DTT channels over the Internet on a Computer through VLC?
Before starting the process, it is important to remember that you must have VLC Media Player installed on your PC. If you don’t have it yet, you can download the latest version of VLC Media Player. In addition, you must also have a list of channels that you would like to see online.
The first thing you should do is download a complete channel list in .m3u8 format that you can open in your VLC player.
The next thing is to open your VLC player and use the following command CTRL + O. You can also go directly to the Media menu and click on Open File where you will have to choose your list of channels that you have already downloaded.
The channels will automatically be added to the playlist. When you want to change channels, you simply enter the command CTRL + L.
If you prefer, you can also do it manually by accessing the View menu and selecting the Playlist. That way you can choose the channel you want to watch without any problem. But it is not the only option, if you have Kodi as a multimedia center, we will show you what to do.
How to watch DTT channels over the Internet on a Computer through Kodi?
Kodi also gives us the opportunity to configure it to watch DTT channels online from the PC. The steps to follow are also very simple. The first thing you have to do is activate the correct Add-on and configure it to connect to DTT channels.
You must open your Kodi multimedia center and go to the side panel where you can choose the Ass-ons option and then My addons. Once there, choose the TVR Clients option and in the list that will appear below, locate the PVR IPTV Simple Client add-on.
It is time to activate it by clicking on it. Next, you will get a configuration page and you must click Activate. In order for these settings to be saved correctly, it is important that you restart your Kodi.
The next step will be to configure the plugin so that you can connect the DTT channels. It is important to remember that the channel file that you downloaded, you must save them safely so that they are not deleted. Since Kodi depends on this list to play your channels.
The process is very similar to the previous one, you only change the options slightly. You must return to the side panel but this time you will click on the Add-on option and then My Add-ons. You must select PVR Clients and then PVR IPTV Simple Client.
In the window that will appear next, you must click on Configure and then on General. You will be able to see a section called Location, access it and select Local Route and then Route to the M3U list. This last option is where you can select the list of your channels that you have already downloaded.
Finally, restart Kodi again so that the changes are saved and that’s it. You can access the side panel and enter the TV section. Within this option, you can click on Channels and the list of DTT channels that you previously downloaded will appear. That’s it, you can now watch your channels on Kodi whenever you want.
