In the following practical tutorial that I present to you, I am going to show you the correct way, step by step so that you can save your WhatsApp photos in Google Photos by means of the automatic and unattended synchronization of all the multimedia content, (photos and videos), hosted in our personal WhatsApp accounts.
It goes without saying that before continuing with this simple practical tutorial, we must have the Google Photos application installed on our Android, an application for viewing our multimedia gallery and a tremendous tool that in addition to acting as a simple viewer of photos and videos, we can also get things as interesting as those that I explain in this complete video user guide of Google Photos, a user guide that I created a very short time ago, which you have at your entire disposal just by clicking on this link.
How to save your WhatsApp photos to Google Photos
One of the best options we have to create a backup of the photos and videos of our personal WhatsApp accounts, apart from the one that I already taught you through our Google Drive account with its automatic synchronization option that from the same application of WhatsApp we can adjust according to our interests. It is undoubtedly the backup of WhatsApp directly in our Google Photos accounts, the best application according to many to manage the gallery of our Android terminals.
To enable the backup of WhatsApp, automatically in our own Google Photos account and thus have, in addition to free unlimited storage, the photos and videos available from any Android terminal in which we have the Google Photos application installed, We are only going to have to update was ap and follow the steps that I show you in the attached video, and that I will also show you in these screenshots for a better understanding regardless of your Android user level.
- We must have the Google Photos application installed and the automatic synchronization of photos and videos from our Android terminal well configured. In this link, I explain how to configure the automatic synchronization of Google Photos as well as explain the different synchronization options that are important that you know well.
- Then, once the automatic synchronization of the Camera folder of our Android is enabled, we will only have to slide from left to right to display the sidebar of Google Photos settings and select the option Device folders. (See screenshot below).
- Once this is done, we will only have to select the folder that responds to the name of WhatsApp Images, a folder that is responsible for storing all the photos that we have shared and have been sent to us from the WhatsApp application. (See screenshot below).
And this is it, by following these simple steps, we will have our images, photos and videos received from the WhatsApp application perfectly synchronized, in addition, we will have them available from all Android terminals in which we have Google Photos installed and logged in with our relevant Google account which, as is logical and presumably, should be the same as the one in which we have just enabled the automatic backup of the WhatsApp Images folder.
If you have any doubts about how to follow these simple steps, right at the top of this post I have left you a video in which I explain the process to follow in a much more visual and understandable way.
Later you can transfer photos from Google Photos to PC to have them saved on your computer.
