Like most operating systems that arrive installed in the different smartphones on the market, MIUI presents different errors that can cause forced closures or an inadequate performance of our device derived from problems whose origin we do not know.
Fortunately, the Android operating system natively integrates what is known as “Safe Mode”, an option that will help us locate possible errors on our phone caused by the installation of an application or by a wrong operation of the personalization layer itself.
How to activate Safe Mode on your Xiaomi phone
As we say, Safe Mode is a functionality that comes by default on any Android phone and consists of the system only loads the applications with which the device was installed by default, in order to rule out any type of error caused by an element that we have installed afterwards.
Of course, in the event that we start this mode and the problem continues to exist, it means that the error is caused by the system itself and not by a later installed application, so detecting it would be a much simpler task.
What’s more, We must take into account that MIUI has a functionality inside that allows us to report any type of error so that the development team of this customization layer is aware of it and can solve it in future updates, so we will be well covered in case of any errors that may arise in this regard.
To activate Safe Mode on our Xiaomi, Redmi or POCO phone, we will only have to follow these steps:
- Turn off your device
- Turn it on again and, as soon as the MIUI logo appears on the screen, press and hold the volume down button until the system fully boots up
Once this is done, We will see at the bottom of our screen the indication that we are in Safe ModeIn addition to the fact that when we access our application drawer or main desktop, we will see how the installed applications are only the ones that arrived by default on our device.
