If you have a blog or page in WordPress, you may be looking for the easiest way to insert forms and legal notices with Elementor Pro.
The latter is one of the best tools or visual editors intended for WordPress layout without having to touch the codes.
Elementor Pro WordPress also gives you the opportunity to interact with readers and visitors to your page, this can be achieved thanks to the option that allows you to create an autoresponder form.
Thanks to this, it is preferred by many users of said platform, although the less experienced may be having difficulty adding the GDPR privacy policy and legal notices.
Why should I include this information?
According to the European data protection regulation (RGPD) there are a series of information and elements that must be established.
For example, legal notices, forms and the privacy policy should be visible and in markable fields when some personal information is requested from users.
Therefore, the most common use in blogs or webs, and where these data tend to be compulsorily added, is in contact forms.
Of course, there are many more uses and reasons for needing to add these elements, so below we show a step by step to add legal notices with Elementor Pro.
Inserting forms and legal notices with Elementor Pro
To begin, it is necessary to clarify that, although there is a free version of Elementor, it is Elementor Pro that allows you to create forms, as well as other exclusive options.
So, in order to comply with the privacy policies of the RGPD in our forms, it will be necessary to add two elements.
The first is the checkbox through which users agree to agree with the web’s own privacy policies.
And the second, show a kind of preview of the same, through a fraction of the text, where you can see the parts related to the data.
But before being able to create these elements, it is advisable to have our privacy policy at hand and the link to it.
If you do not have it yet, you should get down to work and give it life, as it is an essential requirement that avoids possible legal problems.
Positioning the checkbox
To begin, you must open the form to work in edit mode. This is achieved through the WordPress dashboard.
Next, it is given in ” Pages ” and ” Edit “, to then locate in the center of the screen the ” Edit with Elementor ” button.
Now, click on the form view to be able to choose the option ” Add element “, which will generate a new field at the end of the form and which will be text type.
Consequently, to return said field in the checkable box we need, the ” Type ” menu must be displayed and finally ” Acceptance “. To which, the other available fields will be updated, which must be filled in as follows:
- Label: here a descriptive text will be written. It is regularly something like ” I read and accept the terms and conditions “, followed by the link to the privacy policy that we had on hand.
The writing to be displayed can be changed according to the wish of the page administrator, but it is important to place the link. - Required: this is a slide-out button through which the previous field is set as mandatory or not. Activating it is recommended.
- Acceptance text: this will be the message that will accompany the checkbox, something short will suffice, in addition to the link to the site’s privacy policy.
- Checked by default – This is the default way the bookmark will be found. The GDPR states that it must be unmarked.
Show legal notices in Elementor Pro
For this, we will have to click on ” Add element ” again, and then go to the same ” Type ” menu so that it expands.
From the options, choose ” HTML ” and fill in the field with the legal text. To finish, press ” Update “.
