After two years with the suits stored in the closet and the desire growing day by day this 2022 we will finally be able to celebrate the April Fair in Seville and we couldn’t be happier. The Sunday May 1after the night of the little fish, the Fair will begin, which will last until Saturday May 7. And of course, all of Seville -and what is not Seville- is already starting to plan what to wear.
Naturally, the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the Fair are the flamenco dresses, authentic wonders that run through the Real every day, but of course not everyone dresses up. And those who do get dressed don’t do it every day either. So today we wanted to make a small guide on how to dress to go to the fair:
What to wear if we don’t dress as flamenco
As a good friend of mine once told me “Holy Week and the April Fair are like the catwalks of spring in Seville“. And it is that the looks What we are seeing these days are nothing compared to what awaits us at the Fair. There is no dress code for the Fair as such if we are not going to wear a flamenco dress, but there is something basic: we have to fix us up. And fix us up a lot. In fact, if we look at ourselves in the mirror and think “My goodness, it looks like I’m going to a wedding”, we will have succeeded.
Joking apart, “less is more” is a maxim that does not have much room in our outfits for the Fair because no, we are not going to be too elegant. Which does not mean that we have to go recharged either, quite the opposite, but it does let’s not cut ourselves when adding accessories or prints.
Bet on cheerful colors
The Fair, together with Holy Week, celebrate the arrival of spring and they finally banish winter clothes from our wardrobe. And what better way to do this than betting on bright colors and patterns (which are also super trend this season). This does not mean that we have to put aside black, but it does mean reducing its use and preventing it from being the predominant color in our outfits.

Jacket suits are a resounding YES
The jacket suits They are gaining a lot of popularity for events, whether they are weddings, communions or graduations, for example, and taking them to the Real is a sure hit. We can wear them with the blazer closed or open, with some bralette either crop top below, as we like more (or change throughout the day).
Sparkly rhinestone lace-up sleeved blazer
Wide leg shiny lace up trousers
Polka dots are always a hit
We do not want to fall into clichés, but the truth is that if moles are always a good idea to dress up, at Feria even more so. We can wear them in all kinds of garments: blouses, shirts, skirts, dresses… They are also very easy to combine and they go very well with blazers, a plus so you don’t get cold when you get home at night.
& Other Stories midi dress with polka dot print and rhinestone buttons
Long sleeves or jacket in case it gets cold
Although we are going to spend the whole night dancing and going from booth to booth, there is something that will inevitably arrive and that is the back home. And then all the heat from the hustle and bustle of the day and night will pass, giving way to reality: at dawn it’s cold. Hence or are we already in long sleeves (something that if we have gone to the Fair during the day is practically inconceivable due to the heat) or we take a jacket for later. Our advice is american: they are formal, pretty and They will fit practically any look that we take.
Double-breasted blazer
The earrings, our star accessories
At the Fair, earrings are one of the main accessories, especially if we dress in a flamenco dress, since with the hair up they look great. But they can also be center of all our eyes outfits no suit if we bet on maxi earrings or matching colors.

Wedges on the feet: comfortable and flattering
Whenever we create any look Choosing footwear is important and when it comes to special outfits for events like the Fair, we automatically think of heels. But without any doubt Our advice is that we try to complete our outfits with wedges: are comfortable (which will allow us to endure so many hours of standing and dancing) and stylize. For what they are win win in all rule go.
