The rule dictates it; Renewed or die. In recent months we have seen how hundreds of platforms have updated their services in order to offer the best experience to their users and YouTube has just entered this game with a new function that it is already testing.
It would be endless to list the times we have suffered from trying to download a YouTube video from a browser and now, Google’s video service seems to put a solution on the table.
Testing
And now, the great online video portal is testing a new function with which users can download videos from desktop devices and tablets.
Although the YouTube mobile application has allowed this process for some time, until now there was no native way to download video from its web options, now YouTube Premium users have an option in this regard.
In recent hours, Google enabled a new button that allows its paying users to download the desired videos from the website. This means that interested parties can download the content from a computer or tablet using a browser.
The new function was announced by YouTube from its section of experimental functions, so we are talking about an option that will be available until October 19 of the current year.
How to do it?
Until now this function was only available to users in markets such as France or India; however, in recent hours it seems to be released for everyone, although of course, as a test.
The process proposed by the platform is quite simple:
- Enters Chrome, Opera or Edge.
- Login to your account Youtube Premium.
- Choose the video you want to download.
- Identify the button “Download” which is located at the bottom of the video and select it.
- The video will begin to download automatically and will be hosted at the address: youtube.com/feed/downloads.
Undoubtedly this function that, although experimental, could solve life for many users who, in the search to download this content, have had to resort to third-party sites and applications (many of dubious origin) for this purpose, which has put in doubt the security of your data.
