Follow these steps to save the COVID passport in Wallet
To add the COVID passport in Wallet, first you need to update your iPhone to iOS 15.4, the new version of Apple’s operating system. All those smartphones that have iOS 15 or later versions are eligible to receive the update. If you don’t have it installed, go to Settings > General > Software Update and download and install the version.
Once iOS 15.4 is installed on your mobile, you will need to locate your COVID passport in physical format —If you have received the complete guideline and still do not have a passport, here we explain how to apply for it—. It is important that you have the document on paper or on a device other than the iPhone, since to save the COVID certificate in Wallet it is necessary to scan the QR code.
When you have the passport on paper or on the screen of another device – if you have it on your iPhone, simply forward it by email and open the document on another device -, access the camera of your terminal and scan the QR code. Then, click on the ‘Covid-19 vaccine’ button that appears on the screen. Finally, click on ‘Add to Wallet and Health’ and confirm the action. The COVID Certificate will now appear in Wallet.
To access the COVID passport in Wallet, you just have to double-tap the on/off button and select the vaccination card. You can also go directly to the Wallet app or ‘Cartera’ of your device.
