We are still rubbing our eyes. The gameplay trailer of God of War Ragnarok from the PlayStation Showcase was the perfect seal for Sony event. However, it has been the spark that has ignited the flame of expectation among the community.
During the footage shown by Santa Monica Studio, we were able to see Tyr, the god of war, law and honor in Norse mythology. During the first God of War he was a character with transcendence, even though we never got to see him physically.
The most impressive thing about his presentation is the moment when he gets up off the ground, in front of Kratos. The image is maintained while we see how the Spartan has to lift his chin to keep his gaze, showing an imposing height. That is why many users have wondered exactly how tall it is and we already have the answer.
OK for those of you asking, @SonySantaMonica have confirmed Tyr is 8'5. 👀 pic.twitter.com/v2aZOj8wiW

That’s right, Tyr is really tall, although not much taller than Kratos is. The Spartan is not far behind with some nice 2.13 meters, packed with sheer muscle. And to continue with another comparison of height, Tyr is still somewhat far from looking face to face with Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village.
We will have to wait until the arrival of the game to know exactly what role Tyr plays in the story. Depending on which historical branch of Norse mythology we accept, its origin varies, as well as the consequences of its actions. His height may give us an important clue, since according to the Greater Edda his lineage is linked to the Jötunheim giants.
