Twitter was the place where a Domino’s Pizza delivery man was exposed for writing, via WhatsApp and without his consent, to a consumer.
If we talk about fast food restaurant chains, Domino’s Pizza is undoubtedly one of the most popular in various parts of the world and one of the favorites of consumers.
On the other hand, recent years have seen significant growth for the company. A graph from Statista speaks, precisely, of the annual evolution of the brand value of Domino’s Pizza worldwide between 2015 and 2020. In that last year, the American pizzeria chain reached its highest brand value since the beginning of the period, with an approximate value of 10.7 billion US dollars.
These numbers, of course, speak of how the brand has positioned itself in the taste of consumers, who are increasingly looking for home delivery services, mainly motivated by the arrival of the pandemic.
However, in Twitter has caught the attention of a consumer of the brand who has decided to exhibit one of the company’s delivery men. The reason: without her consent, he wrote to her via WhatsApp in order to “be friends.”
Yesterday, one of his delivery men from San Andrés, Cholula, Puebla, used my personal number, after he delivered me a pizza, to write to me on WhatsApp. Can you protect my personal data please?” the tweeter wrote.

Situations like this, as we have seen, can reach extremely delicate extremes. Of course, at first glance, it might seem like an innocent message or without any intention of causing harm; however, it is still a breach of trust that ultimately puts the brand you work for in trouble.
Nowadays, it is very easy to fall for different tricks such as scams or other cybercrimes, which is why it is important to solve these types of cases to prevent them from reaching adults.
In the end, the more data we reveal on the different pages we visit, the more vulnerable we are as a community to suffering any type of abuse or cybercrime.
For years, authorities have been called for the safety of web users, especially in times where, increasingly, digitization is changing people’s habits.
A few months ago it was revealed, through the Reuters news agency, how it is that, through Alexa, Amazon collects personal information such as tastes, information consulted, readings, habits and even political inclination.
Said data that is collected through Alexa, in addition to registering it, is recorded and made available to the platform’s clients.
