Honor will launch your first flip phone on Monday, January 10 with the name of Magic V, and today the price of the phone was discovered in a test launch. The variant of 12/256 GB will cost 13,999 Chinese yuan (1,931 euros), and there will also be a version of 12/512 GB for 14,999 Chinese yuan, or 2,069 euros.
The Magic V will also be Honor’s first phone with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, Qualcomm’s latest flagship processor. Reports indicate that it will have a 50MP main camera, Android 12 out of the box and a fast charge of up to 66W.
If the price is real, then the Honor Magic V would be cheaper than Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Huawei Mate X2, but much more expensive than the Oppo Find N and the Xiaomi Mix Fold; All of these devices are in direct competition with each other in China.
We are still awaiting confirmation as to whether the phone will escape the domestic scene and reach the world, which is pretty cool. If it does, it could finally challenge the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold line, as it packs a lot better features.
