Honda has detailed the new models that it will launch in Europe by 2023. Some novelties starring electrification and, more specifically, by SUV-type vehicles. Honda’s new electrified models for Europe
The manufacturer is working on expanding its range of electrified products in 2023, which will ultimately mean the creation of its widest European range in years. But, what news is on the agenda? Honda’s product offensive rests on two pillars. SUVs and electrification.
Among the new additions Honda is working on is a 100% electric SUV that will deal in segment B. A model with which to rival, among others, the Peugeot e-2008 and the Opel Mokka-e. It has been anticipated through the e:Ny1 concept car. will also be released a compact SUV with self-charging hybrid mechanics (HEV) and the new Honda CR-V, which will be available with both hybrid and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) mechanics.
On the other hand, and in contrast to this roadmap, it is worth noting the future launch of the new generation Honda Civic Type R. The sports variant of the Honda compact will remain in the portfolio and will not bet on electrification. A model that is currently under development and of which the brand itself has published various official advances.
Honda has underlined that the e:Ny1 electric vehicle, which will go on sale in 2023, will be at the core of the future product range. What’s more, all the models mentioned here will be available before the end of next year. These launches are decisive for the company to reach its goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, as well as the abandonment of thermal engines in 2040, respectively.
