The end of henry cavill in his role as Superman in the DC Universe shocked many, including peers like Jason Momoa Y Zachary Levi. It is part of the reconstruction planned by James Gunn, the new boss at the company.
Momoa and Levi, among others, left their words of encouragement to Cavill in his post on Instagram, where he made his departure from DC official.
Cavill has played Superman since 2013, participating in films such as Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League in its original and Zack Snyder versions, as well as having a cameo in Black Adam.
“To all of those who have stood by me through the years, we may grieve but we must remember: Superman is still there. Everything he defends exists, and the examples for us continue there. My turn to wear the cape has passed, but Superman remains.” Cavill said.
The sadness of Jason Momoa, Zachary Levi and others for the departure of Henry Cavill as Superman
In his post, his colleagues wrote moving phrases.
Jason Momoa, actor who plays Aquaman, expressed: “I love you, brother”, with some heart emojis. While, Zachary Levi, Shazam in the DC Universe, stated: “I hope to meet you in another universe, sir.”
Members of the Black Adam production also left their words, such as Dany and Hiram Garcia. Let’s remember that Dwayne Johnson, “The Rock”, moved heaven and earth for the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, after he clashed with the former heads of Warner Bros.
For Dany García, “you are and always will be our Superman and you are, of course, much more. Here’s to the brilliance before you.” While Hiram stressed: “You will always be the Superman of our generation, brother. Always”.
“You were wonderful in that role,” said the legendary Christopher Lloyd, of Back to the Future. Kumail Nanjiani, from Eternals (Marvel): “Sorry to hear this, but I can’t wait to see what you do next. It was nice meeting you”.
