This new version of Hange Zoë, a very important female character for Shingeki No Kyojinwas a work of the cosplayer and model Sierra, whose name on her Instagram account is waifucece. The artist portrayed Hange mostly in his standard Scouting Corps uniform, but the personification of this beloved commander did not stop there. She also paid tribute to him with his post-jump anti-personnel maneuver team. In fact, in several of the images that Sierra shares with us, this leader appears riding a horse.

But the good news is that it is not the only amazing cosplay that we find in the instagram account of Sierra, He has also dedicated himself to portraying other important characters both from Shingeki No Kyojin and from other series. For example, one of them is Asuka Langley Sohryu, the beautiful Neon Genesis pilot from Evangelion; or also, Satoru Gojōthe strongest sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen.
Who is Hange Zoë?
The Hange Zoë character first appeared in the Shingeki No Kyojin manga at the start of volume 3, where was introduced as the flamboyant titan researcher of the Survey Corps. This scientist and inventor had a quality that differentiated her from the rest of her classmates: the compassion he always showed towards the huge monsters of the series, a rare trait to find in defenders of humanity. After Commander Erwin Smith’s shocking death along with most of the Survey Corps forces at the Battle of Shigashina, Hange was the one who assumed command of the divisionin this way he rebuilt it until it became the powerful fighting force that it is now and that plays a fundamental role in the conflicts against Marley and the rest of the threats to humanity that appeared after the second half of Shingeki No Kyojin had elapsed.
A little more about Shingeki No Kyojin
Shingeki No Kyojin (also known as Attack on Titan in English) was created by mangaka Hajime Isayama in 2009. This series has become one of the most important anime and manga franchises in Japan in the last two decades, with a circulation of more than 100 million copies sold around the world. The anime adaptation premiered in 2014 and was originally produced by the Wit studio (a company that was also in charge of other adaptations such as Osama ranking and Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song), but finally the production was transferred to the MAPPA studio (in charge of Jujutsu Kaisen and Yuri!! on Ice) for the fourth and final season of the series.
On the other hand, Isayama’s original manga had a controversial ending in early 2021, with a final chapter that no one expected and, therefore, had a fairly divided reaction from critics and fans. The good news is that the controversial end of the manga seems to have affected the popularity of the anime, since the premiere of the first episode of the second part of the final season of Shingeki No Kyojin, on January 9, immediately caused the crash of the anime streaming service Crunchyroll due to the high demand on its servers. In response to this, MAPPA has been publishing new drawings that coincide with the premiere of each episode. In the most recent we can see Eren, Zeke and Grisha Jaeger.
Could it be that at some point MAPPA will decide to continue with this incredible dynamic, portraying each of its characters? Meanwhile, we will be able to see them in the hands of cosplayers as dedicated as Sierra and even some fanarts.
