A new 8-story Surrey Memorial Hospital intensive care tower was built in 2013 thanks to generous community support.
In 2011, SHF’s Jim Pattison Center for Surgery and Ambulatory Care opened.
The Surrey Foundation Hospitals group (SHF for its acronym in English), has requested help in the form of financial donations so that they can continue to provide all the services needed by their patients who are forced to leave the facilities every day for not have the material to serve them.
Surrey is home to some of British Columbia’s most talented doctors, nurses, surgeons and staff. But its facilities and services struggle to keep up with the needs of a growing and diverse community.
As a result, every day patients are forced to leave Surrey for urgent care at surrounding hospitals. Last year alone, 43,000 patients left Surrey for treatment at Vancouver Children’s Hospital.
For many of Surrey’s patients, travel time can mean the difference between life and death. Our campaign creates a sense of urgency to raise awareness and inspire donations to boost facilities, acquire new talent and keep patients in Surrey.
Surrey Hospital Group Campaign, Canada.
The campaign is made up of 5 media, including 1 video, 3 images created for billboards and social networks, as well as advertising for public transport.
In the campaign video you can see a group of doctors accompanying a minor patient along a corridor. Upon reaching her destination, the patient boards an ambulance with the help of paramedics to an unknown destination.
The faces of the doctors when they see the ambulance leave are not of relief or satisfaction, they look worried and demotivated. When leaving the ambulance you can read a message that translated says “Every day, patients leave Surrey for Medical Care.”
What we can interpret as an error and failure in the objective that they have as a health center, since they cannot give care to their patients as they should.
This professional campaign titled ‘Keep it in Surrey’ was released in Canada in November 2022. It was created for Brand: Surrey Hospitals Foundation, by Ad Agency: Full Punch.
