The company co-founded by Bill Gates announced that it will add the powerful artificial intelligence (AI) of GPT-4 to your most popular apps. These integrate Microsoft 365 Copilota new generation of tools that includes a completely new experience: Business Chat.
Earlier this month, Microsoft announced Dynamics 365 Copilot, an AI tool “to bring next-generation AI to all lines of business.”

Described as a “copilot for work,” the Microsoft 365 Copilot package “turns your words into the most powerful productivity tool on the planet,” the company said in a statement.
“Copilot combines the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) with business data and Microsoft 365 apps to unleash creativity, unlock productivity, and take skills to the next level.” explains Microsoft.

The technology company ensures that the new suite “is a completely new way of working.” GPT-4 Chat it will be integrated into the Microsoft 365 Apps we use every day, helping to maintain workflow and freeing the user from repetitive tasks.
“With Copilot, the customer is always in control. Clients decide what to keep, modify or discard. With these new tools, people can be more creative in Word, more analytical in Excel, more expressive in PowerPoint, more productive in Outlook, and more collaborative in Teams.

Copilot in Word. Write, edit, summarize and create alongside people as they work.
- Copilot in Excel. It helps unlock information, identify trends, or create professional-looking data visualizations, in a fraction of the time.
- Copilot in PowerPoint. Facilitates the creation process by turning ideas into a designed presentation through natural language commands.
- Copilot in Outlook. It can help to synthesize and manage the inbox to allow more time to be spent on actual communication.
- Copilot in Teams. It makes meetings more productive, with real-time summaries and action points right in the context of the conversation.
- Copilot on Power Platform. It will help developers of all skill levels accelerate development with low-code tools, with the introduction of two new capabilities within Power Apps and Power Virtual Agents.
Business Chat, the real novelty of Copilot
The company also announced the launch of Business Chat, a brand new tool that works with Microsoft 365 apps — calendar, email, chats, documents, meetings, contacts, and more — to get things done that couldn’t be done before.
“Through prompts in natural language such as ‘explain to my team how we have updated the product strategy’, Business Chat will generate a status update based on the meetings, emails and chat threads of the morning”, they explained from Microsoft.
Business Chat gathers data from documents, presentations, email, calendar, notes, and contacts to help summarize chats, write emails, find key dates, or even write a plan based on other project files.
For now, Microsoft 365 Copilot is in the testing phase with a small group of “selected enterprise customers,” they reported. This will help them “get the critical feedback needed to improve these models as they scale.”
