The government of San Luis Potosi has announced an unexpected initiative with which it seeks to raise awareness among the inhabitants of the state, so that they follow the recommendations to combat COVID-19.
The announced measure is an activation that undoubtedly poses the challenge for the authorities today and is to control a global pandemic. Some have resorted to creative measures, such as campaigns like the one launched by the government of Spain; other drastic measures such as the activation announced by the government of a Mexican state and other extreme measures, such as prohibiting the entry of foreigners, as happened with Great Britain.
An extreme activation
The government of San Luis Potosí made an ironic comment that it is the most drastic initiative that a state government has made so far, in its effort to control COVID-19 infections that are experienced in Mexico.
The proposal came from the secretary of health of the entity, Michelangelo Lutzow, who offered the design of tours so that skeptics of the new coronavirus could check the effects it has on infected people and with it finally they are encouraged to follow the recommendations against the pathogen.
“We invited them to the hospitals, we set them up on a tour to see how people are, to feel or see what the suffocation that pneumonia patients experience is like.
If there are people who do not believe it, we take them. If it is ‘until you see not believe’ and you are not going to use the mask or what are you waiting for? To see a dead family member? ”, He explained.
The proposal is an action that reminds us of how important it has become to be able to react to the most serious health phenomenon that has been resolved today, where from creative messages to drastic measures in the market have had to be implemented.
Respond to contagion creatively
One of the creative responses by governments to contagion by C0VID-I9 was the campaign that the government of Spain launched in that country, where it promoted the hashtag #NoLoTiresPorLaBorda.
The piece consisted of portraying ordinary moments of people such as playing video games or being at parties, where in the absence of space or hygiene, infections by C0VID-I9 are guaranteed and the advances that have been made to combat de root this pathogen, which until this Monday, August 2, added 6,543 new infections and 228 new deaths due to the pathogen.
Addressing the pandemic responsibly
The activations and various actions that governments have implemented in the Mexican market to combat C0VID-I9 infections have opted for all kinds of resources and actions that have sought to fight the pathogen.
One of these measures was implemented by the government of Mexico City, in which it has provided an armament of disinfectant gels and face masks to the various public schools in the state, as part of the return to classes that is planned for the next August 30th.
