Applications are always in constant transformation to improve the experience of their users around the world. At the moment, Google’s digital platform extended warnings of malicious messages with malware or phishing to the Chat app, a service that is already present in two of its other products, Gmail and Drive.

Google Chat launches new tool
The technology company explained that this tool aims to protect users from malicious attacks.
They also explain that these new notices will appear in messages received from personal Google accounts, in those in which suspicious activity has been detected, such as, for example, the inclusion of a link to a website that is identified as fraudulent.
Google details that when users receive a message of this style, they will be able to see the notice in red, as well as have the option to accept the incoming message or block it.
As explained in the blog of Workspace these notices will be available in Chat for both mobile and web.
Let us remember that these warning messages are already available in your Gmail and Drive applications, and their deployment in Chat began last week.
They also explain that this new tool will be available to users of Workspace, G Suite and personal Google accounts.
Alerts for Gmail and security for drive
Other new features on Google platforms include alerts in Gmail, where administrators can turn alerts on or off for messages that include external recipients.
Given this, they warn that these warnings help users to treat external messages with caution.
They add that the warning will be seen in three circumstances, where the first is if there are external recipients in the email thread; the second if they reply to an external recipient or if they compose a new message for an external recipient.
Meanwhile, the new tools in Drive is that when a file of any kind is uploaded to Google Drive, it’s stored securely on class data centers. Information is encrypted in transit and at rest.
It is also possible to block users in Drive to prevent them from sharing files, and so that they cannot access any material in the cloud. In turn, they will no longer be received notifications of your comments in Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides, unless you subscribe to notifications for all comments.
Google is not the only social network that is launching new tools, because there is the case of Instagram that renewed its visual image by making its logo with brighter icons to give a new look to its official application.
While the instant messaging platform WhatsApp said that it is working on a function where users can react with emojis in the states, something similar to what happens with Instagram stories.
