For Anthony Capuano, executive director of Marriott International, the collaboration of the public and private sectors is of the utmost importance to generate support in the labor field and promote tourism.

An idea that was agreed upon by Stephen Scherr, executive director of The Hertz Corporation, during the table “To recovery and Beyond”.

“The level of collaboration is necessary. The public sector is expensive, the government needs it,” he said.

The Saudi Arabian Investment Minister, Khalid Al-Falih, explained that the nation has implemented collaboration between the public and private sectors in 28 initiatives that facilitate investment.

This nation projects an ambitious plan for 100 billion tourists to arrive in Saudi Arabia in 2030.

    facilitate mobility

During the meeting, Princess Haifa Al Saud, Deputy Minister of Tourism of Saudi Arabia, considered that there must be unrestricted regulations that facilitate mobility.

He exemplified that the use of cell phones is the same throughout the world, a situation that should be applied in tourism.

Participants detailed the importance of supporting communities.

Sébastien Bazin, President and CEO of AccorHotels, considered that tomorrow’s hotels must serve local needs, not travelers.

“The appreciation of time is important,” he said.

He considered it important to trust local populations and delegate power to them.

And given the possibility of a future recession, Scherr assured that there will not be a crisis as big as that of the pandemic, so “we are better prepared for future crises.”
