The self-proclaimed biggest event in video games goes flat.
This year it seems that we are left without E3 despite the fact that video game companies are announcing their events as if nothing had happened, this being what we are seeing with Xbox + Bethesda and PC Gaming. And under this same idea, it seems that another event that we will have soon will be the Summer Game Fest, which will be broadcast on June 9.
Regarding this event, it must be said that it will be presented once again by Geoff Keighley, who has already cataloged it as the biggest video game event. All this knowing that it has only had two broadcasts so far and that both have been harshly criticized for having more padding than ads and problems with timing and organization.
The biggest event will not be so bad finally
Given this, with just a couple of weeks until the event takes place, it appears that Keighley is now gearing up for broadcast. lowering expectationssince it has recently announced that there will be fewer ads than other years.
As he has been able to tell, the reason for this is because the companies they have fewer games than other years, justifying this in the fact that they have not even been able to hold their own conferences due to this same lack of content. Despite everything, the journalist insists that people will be happythough this time let’s hope Norman Reedus doesn’t spend 5 minutes getting in and out of a box.
Be that as it may, and leaving aside this news about the lack of content, something that is being seen this year is that companies are beginning to feel the effects of COVID and the delays in the development of the titles, thus giving rise to the fact that this year we have had a very strong start, while until the end of 2022 we will not have many launches.
And in fact, many are late, the most notorious case being that of Starfield along with that of the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. For all these reasons, we will have to see what the Summer Game Fest is on June 9.
