Epic Games is considering launching an entertainment division focused on scripted video programming, people involved with the situation told The Information.
Fortnite includes countless characters from different franchises from movies and television, as well as a long list of its own heroes, recognized by fans through toys and other products.

The complex history of Fortnite integrates so far more than twelve seasons, with increasingly elaborate live events, cutscenes and campaign snippets. Fortnite, also welcomed a crossover with Marvel in-game and told a part of the story through an official comic book series from Batman.
Apparently, now the maker of the hit video game Fortnite wants to diversify amid legal battles with Apple and Google that have affected its ability to expand into the mobile device market.
The new entertainment division of Fortnite, could develop projects that include a movie based on Fortnite, and there are already talks about it, sources said.
Planning for the entertainment division includes hiring several executives from Lucasfilm, including Jason McGatlin, former vice president of physical production Lucasfilm and now president of special projects in Epic.
McGatlin was an executive producer of all the films of “Star Wars” released under Disney. Other Lucasfilm hires include Lynn Bartsch, Director of Business Affairs for Epic, and Chris Fury, Vice President of Production Finance at Epic, according to executives’ profiles on LinkedIn.
This new step in the entertainment sector with a movie by Fortnite that “has already been discussed”, would reinforce Epic’s position. But, it is not yet known when a movie of Fortnite.
