The new smartwatches from Fossil are here. The Fossil Gen 6 have two key features: support for the update to Wear OS 3 and the new next-generation processor from Qualcomm.
Smart watches are hot. These wrist devices capable of counting steps, receiving notifications and a host of other features were really slow to roll out due to their price, in addition to the little variety that existed.
All this has changed and currently there are models that start from 50 euros, being bracelets, up to even watches that blend perfectly with their analog namesakes and fetch prices in excess of a hundred.
The latter are the ones that interest us and, is that, Fossil has launched its new range of Smart Watches. The sixth generation of these devices comes with interesting features and, in addition, they are the ones that debut the new Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+.
The novelties at the design level of these new smart watches is that they arrive in two sizes, although unlike competitive models, the size of the screen remains constant. The 1.28 inch AMOLED panel with a density of 326 dpi will be in 42mm or 44mm.
At the design level, the dark gray finish on the hinge stands out, together with a more aggressive button panel, although there is also a gold finish that shows a much more stylized button panel.. At the level of straps, according to Fossil they will offer endless interchangeable options.
The software chosen by Fossil for its new watches is Wear OS 2, although the novelty is that they will have support for the update to Wear OS 3. By having this support, they add to the brief list of devices that will update to the operating system of watches from Google.
The prices of the new Fossil Gen 6 are between 299 euros and 329 euros, it will depend on the size of the bezel and the strap. The reservation period begins on September 20 and can be done from the official website of Fossil in Spain.
