Forspoken aims to be a technical marvel.
One of the great novelties of PS5 compared to the previous generation of consoles, and compared to its direct competition, is that It has an ultrafast SSD drive which, as we saw in games like Spider-Man: Miles Morales or Ratchet & Clank: A Separate Dimension, can almost completely eliminate load times. Advantage that, it seems, will benefit forspokenthe new Square Enix exclusively for PS5.
In an interview during the last Game Developers Conference, the technical director of the Luminous Engine, which Forspoken uses, had the opportunity to talk about the loading times that the game can enjoy on both PS5 and PC. Forspoken will have sub-second load times on PS5assured Teppei Ono, while on PC they may vary between 2 and 22 seconds depending on whether an M.2 SSD, SATA SSD or traditional hard drive is used.
Ono also confirmed that in its PC version, Forspoken makes use of the technology Windows 10 and 11 Direct Storage which premiered alongside Xbox Series X|S and came to PC just a few months ago. This technology allows to shorten charging times significantly.
Both the PC version and the PS5 version will enjoy the advantages of the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) 2.0 technologyAMD’s solution similar to NVIDIA’s DLSS that allows visual quality to be maintained by lowering the native resolution at which the game is rendered to reduce stress on the graphics card.
Forspoken will hit stores next October 11th exclusively for PC and PS5, take a look at his latest trailer.
