In the coming months we will see the launch of forest, a new kind of card-based turn-based RPG that introduces a new way to experience a narrative adventure. Foretales is being developed by Alchemy and it will come to Nintendo Switch and Steam thanks to Dear Villagers.
Foretales is a narrative card game, in which the story and its many branches are decided according to the cards you choose in battle. As a good narrative RPG, Foretales has multiple endings with several different routes, so replayability is encouraged to fully understand its story.

The first trailer for Foretales was revealed at the end of March, and it has since been said that it will arrive in the summer of this year on the Nintendo Switch and Steam. This trailer gives us an idea of how Foretale’s gameplay works, combining strategy with luck thanks to its focus on cards.
Foretale cards have very interesting designs and the developers promise a gameplay based on “decksploration”, so we assume that it will be very important to manage which cards you carry with you according to what you are looking to achieve in the story. Also, the game promises a feeling similar to that of a board game.

Foretales does not yet have a release date but it will arrive in the coming months on Nintendo Switch and Steam. This narrative game features the voice of Travais Willingham, known for having participated in The Legends of Vox Machina, as well as a soundtrack composed by Christophe Héral, who has worked on Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil.
