The AliExpress community manager has found a set of “bloody sheets” and reminds users of the importance of looking at reviews when shopping online.
Although for some years the world of sales on-line was present, in Mexico this type of purchase was not used to be carried out by a large majority of the population, a fact that Covid-19 came to change. According to the study of S.tatista Digital Market Outlookin 2017 there were only 29.7 percent of online buyers of the total Mexican population, which increased and came to represent 44.2 percent in 2021 and it is estimated that by 2025 they will represent 57.6 percent of the population .
These numbers represent a success, if we bear in mind the lack of confidence that consumers nationwide have when making their respective purchases. The Study of Online Sales in Mexico 2021 showed some of the main reasons why Internet users do not buy online, where 80 percent of them do not want to risk electronic fraud, 74 percent do not have enough confidence to provide their data banks and 53 percent are afraid of making a mistake with their purchase, among other possibilities.
These types of situations actually happen, but this is mainly due to the fact that users make use of sites that are not so secure compared to some trusted brands today that provide their services such as marketplaces, such as Amazon, Mercado Libre, Linio and others, where although, on some occasions, users may receive products that were not what they expected, this can probably be caused by a mistake by the users themselves.
An image about a particular product reached the eyes of the community manager of aliexpresswhere it is possible to appreciate a set of sheets with figures of rosesbut that users appear more like a sheet worthy of a movie directed by Quentin Tarantino.
For these things you have to look at the reviews… https://t.co/6jy5b5HZ1G

If Tarantino saw it, he would have a fantastic sequence shot for his next movie.
Come on, anyone does dirty things there….fuck so scary, Co!!!— Martin Perales (@ZAYPERALES) February 5, 2022
These blood-themed sheets have caught the attention of the community manager of aliexpressthat although it is an image shared for some time by social networks, the professional has shown a key point to prevent users from being scammed or misunderstanding the characteristics of a product when making purchases online, the review the reviews.
Most of the consumers digital manage to receive their products or services acquired by the different e-commerce platforms or marketplaces without any problem, that is to say that only a small portion of these do not actually receive what they wanted to buy, possibly because they did not read what they were buying.
According to the Observatory on e-commerce habits produced by Trusted Shops in collaboration with Alpha Research, the 45.1 percent of users say they seek feedback from other users before buying a product; while 51.4 percent indicate that they only do it occasionally and, on the contrary, 3.5 percent of them never look for reviews before buying online, so if you bought something and it did not arrive as expected, it could possibly have been avoided if you had sought an opinion on it.
We have an example of this with some users of Mercado Libre who were surprised with the price of lemon with a value of 365 pesos, but they thought that it was a kilo and, in reality, the cost contemplated a complete box.
Clearly there are occasions where logistics problems digital consumers can receive items they did not order; however, they could get rid of some false expectations in some products if they pay due attention and caution when reading the reviews of other users, and the products themselves.
