Netflix confirms the start of filming for the third season of The Witcher after the successful and long-awaited premiere of the second season last December.
In this new season of The Witcher, monarchs, wizards and beasts of the continent will compete to capture Ciri, but Geralt will take her from Cintra into hiding to protect his family against those who threaten to destroy it. Yennefer is in charge of Ciri’s magical training and she will take them to the protected Aretuza fortress, where he hopes to discover more about Ciri’s hidden powers. However, they soon discover that they have arrived at a battlefield where political corruption, dark magic and betrayal are rampant. They must fight and put it all on the line, or risk losing everything forever.
The production of the third season of The Witcher has started keeping its main cast: Henry Cavill (Geralt of Rivia), Anya Chalotra (Yennefer of Vengerberg) and Freya Allan (Princess Cirilla of Cintra).
Also, this third season of The Witcher features Lauren Schmidt Hissrich again as director and executive producer. Tomasz Bagiński, Jason F. Brown, Sean Daniel, Mike Ostrowski, Steve Gaub, and Jarosław Sawko will also serve as executive producers.
