At the end of June Nintendo made a Nintendo Direct focused on the games of its external partners that would arrive during the next year on the Nintendo Switch and one of the surprises was PAC-MAN World Re-PAC, remake of PAC-MAN World for the first PlayStation. This weekend Bandai Namco presented the first official gameplay of the game, showing us how its gameplay has improved.
PAC-MAN World Re-Pac is a remake of one of the most beloved 3D platformers of its generation, thanks to which the announcement has been received very positively. During the Anime Expo 2022 Bandai Namco presented the first look at its gameplay, showing how both graphics and gameplay have improved.

PAC-MAN World was the first game in the franchise to bring the yellow ball to the 3D adventure and platform genre, so it’s considered a kind of soft reboot for PAC-MAN. Among the novelties of this remake is the Mega Pac-Man mode, which was not present in the original game and turns us into a giant ball similar to the original PAC-MAN.
Bandai Namco has already confirmed that players who complete Quest Mode will unlock the original Pac-Man game, and are making gameplay changes to avoid unfair situations present in the original version. “Sometimes Pac-Man fell off the banks unfairly,” said the representative who presented the game’s gameplay. “We’re fixing that,” he clarified.
PAC-MAN World Re-Pac will arrive on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PlayStation 5 and PC on August 26, 2022, so we only have to wait a couple of months to try this classic in its version modernized.
