The truth is that the pace of launches that Xiaomi carries is difficult to control. At the beginning of October they presented the Redmi 8, one of their cheapest phones of the moment, but today, almost 3 months later, we already have news about its renewal, the Redmi 9, by 91Mobiles. Specifically, they have filtered some of the characteristics that will come along with this terminal, which will grow in size compared to its predecessor and probably, also in power.
From this medium, they also inform us about the launch of this Redmi 9 at the beginning of next year, but we do not know what may have prompted Xiaomi to present the renewal of a phone that does not even take three months in the market. Anyway, we tell you the filtered details of this Redmi 9.
The Redmi 9 will have the MediaTek Helio G70 processor
This year we have seen Xiaomi work together with MediaTek with the Redmi Note 8 Pro again. With the MediaTek Helio G90T, they have shown that they can offer higher performance than the average of the mid-range (redundancy is worth), but at a cost lower. Well, supposedly the Redmi 9 will arrive with a processor of the same firm, but one that has not yet been presented: the MediaTek Helio G70. By the name of this processor, we expect it to be part of the mid-range input, perhaps along with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 665.
In addition, this Redmi 9 would grow in size with respect to the Redmi 8, going from 6.26 inches in HD + resolution to 6.6 inches, but keeping the waterdrop notch. We don’t know anything about its resolution. We have also been able to see that this terminal will arrive with a base configuration of 4 + 64 GB, so we could face a fairly large evolution or who knows, an attempt to match the quality of the Redmi with the Redmi Note, as it was A few years ago.
If this phone really will be presented at the beginning of 2020, now we just have to wait for Xiaomi to start showing it in its first promotional posters or to be filtered again. Anyway, we still do not understand the reasons for launching a renewal after only 3 months have passed since the launch of the previous telephone, it is a somewhat abusive practice by the Chinese firm.
