Naoki Yoshida, director of Final Fantasy XIV, confirmed when the MMO’s servers will be repaired. We tell you all the details in this note!
With the launch of the long-awaited expansion of Endwalker, final fantasy XIV received a wave of new players who want to try the MMO from squareenix, which caused server congestion for weeks. Unfortunately, to date there are moments of instability and that is why the director of the game, Naoki Yoshida, published a new roadmap for the next months of the title’s life with details of all the repairs that will be carried out on the servers.
Final Fantasy XIV: these are the dates set by Square Enix to improve the stability of the servers
As we reported at the time, one of the measures taken by Square Enix seeing the huge server congestion you have final fantasy XIV and the launch of Endwalker, aimed to block digital purchases of the video game. On the roadmap you shared Yoshida, you can see that there are plans to bring stability to the servers with the opening of the Oceania Data Center, followed by the resumption of the Home World Transfer Service, the launch of the data center travel system, the expansion of the Data Centers Japanese, North American, European data, and also the resumption of the digital sale of the MMO.
On the one hand, the Oceania Data Center will open on January 25 and there will be five new worlds so that players have more space in the transfer and, to encourage the “transfer”, Square Enix offer incentives to users. Since that date, the video game is expected to improve stability worldwide progressively.
As we mentioned, after the opening of the Oceania Data Center the Home World Transfer Service will resume, and in some future patch of version 6.1.X, the data center travel system will arrive. As for the expansion of the Japanese data center, it will be sometime in July; the North American will be held in two phases: August and a date to be confirmed in the spring or summer of 2023; and the European in July and summer of 2023.
final fantasy XIV will be available again in digital stores on January 25, 2022.
