Square Enix presented a new trailer for Final Fantasy Origin full of surprises and the release date for this year.
Final Fantasy Origin is a new experience for Square Enix’s popular JRPG franchise, and as gamers await its release in March, the company has shared a new trailer with new details of its protagonists.
New details of the characters, the world and the bosses
The new trailer features glimpses of various characters, bosses, and even hints at what themes the campaign will tackle. First, we meet Sofia, who looks set to be the fifth to join the Warriors of Light, and introduces herself with a fist bump to her friends and a deadly slash to her foe. We also saw Astos, who is somewhat close to Jack, the protagonist. We remind you that Final Fantasy Origin will have back the job system that allows you to customize the abilities of the group of characters in real time.
Another thing the trailer showed us was a boss battle called “Kraken”, a pretty tough tentacled humanoid species, as well as “Lich”, a skeletal entity and another insect-like enemy with multiple arms. . The tone of the video game seems to be quite dark, however, it does not rule out that the characters will have a strong bond to go through throughout the campaign. In fact, the end of the video has Frank Sinatra’s My Way playing while the protagonist walks through a field and the characters enter and leave the scene.
Final Fantasy Origin is in development by the team at Team Ninja and Koei Tecmo, with Tetsuya Nomura and Kazushige Nojima directing. We will control three heroes who will face the knight Garland, one of the most remembered enemies of the first installment of the JRPG saga. Its launch was set for March 18 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC.
