The return of the anime is coming bleachwhich will bring us the Thousand Year Blood War arc later this year, and among its big returns tells us that one of the stars behind the new anime series opens up about what makes Uryu Ishida be such a unique presence in the series overall.
Since fans have been asking to see the anime taking the final arc of the series ever since the original run was cut short before the manga series of Tite Kubo will come to an end, nothing was clear, but now that we will see the series return for a full adaptation of that final arc, this means that the anime will show some of the most memorable scenes in the anime.
And it is that, the team behind Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War shared new details about the anime’s production with Viz Media earlier this summer, and Noriaki Sugiyamawho is returning to voice Uryu in the new anime series, not only revealed his reaction to the return, but also opened up and talked about how he feels about his return to anime.
He comments that Uryu has a unique role to play in the Thousand Year Blood War, but Sugiyama has always been more drawn to the fact that while Uryu is serious, there is still time for him to have more light-hearted moments. comedians:
“He’s a very serious, good-hearted young man. But there are times when… how do I put it? He trades silly jokes with Ichigo and the other characters. Bleach has always had this fun and light-hearted sense of humor, and I think Uryu is one of the characters to contribute to that comedy”. But while Sugiyama enjoys Uryu’s more comedic moments in the series despite his serious nature, the star also talks about how things will be very different for this new arc:
“That said, a lot of scenes in Thousand-Year Blood War are going to be very serious,” Sugiyama continued. “So, in addition to all the great and exciting parts of Bleach, I hope that the other cast members and I can deliver those fun aspects as we bring our characters to life.” Fans who have already read the manga know how integral Uryu is to the Thousand Year Blood War arc as a whole, and it seems like Sugiyama is teasing how much of that he has in store for Uryu in the future.
