Hasn’t even come out yet Call of Duty: Vanguard, but it seems that not only was the name of the following leaked Call of duty, but we also have the first details regarding its story and gameplay. Apparently, this title will be much more violent than the first and could introduce totally new elements to the franchise.
Tom henderson, trusted insider of Call of Duty and Battlefield, has revealed the first details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which as its name implies, will be a direct sequel to the reboot that came out in 2018. According to Henderson, the title will have a morality system based on decisions, which will have an impact on the narrative, which will have explicit scenes of violence and gore. Regarding its history, it is said that it will be focused on the conflict against drug cartels in Colombia, something that had already been rumored before.
On the other hand, Henderson mentions that the artificial intelligence of the enemies has been totally improved, so now we will have much more “realistic and natural” reactions during shootings, as well as a new anxiety system that will block some of our weapons, thus making the confrontations more much more tense.
To finish, this insider affirms that the Task Force 141 will return for this new installment, although of course, with new characters such as John “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley. Of course, Activision has not yet said and will not say anything about it, less now that CoD: Vanguard it is right around the corner.
Editor’s note: Modern warfare is possibly my favorite saga within Call of duty, so the 2019 remake / reboot was definitely great news for me. Knowing that this series will continue in 2022 excites me quite a bit, and I hope this sequel can live up to expectations.
